About:
This story appeared in Litmus Test 9, August 1999.
When The Phantom Menace hit theaters, I was excited by the idea of seeing a new Star Wars movie. I was disappointed. Not only was the story a blended together mash of unexplained ideas and the acting an impersonation of pieces of wood before a green screen, but the morality of the whole fiasco offended me. One of the things that galled me was that the Jedi, the supposed knights of the galaxy, were more interested in each other than in helping average people. So I took my offense and fashioned it into this story. This story was also heavily influenced by The Fist of the North Star, especially the plot of the anime.
