This appeared as a self-titled mini in January 2000.
Partial inspiration for this story came from "The Masked Ball" by Klaus Mann, which appeared in the August 1999 issue of Harper's Magazine. There's also a lot of my reading of Angela Carter in here as well. It was Jim Woodring's Frank that convinced me to do this as a silent comic. And in case you were wondering, I didn't see the movie Eyes Wide Shut until after I completed this piece.
